Cambridge Medical Masterclass (27 February 2015)

On the day that booking opened, I got myself a place on the Cambridge Medical Masterclass, which also gave me an opportunity to look around the university. The day was formatted in a similar way to that of a second-year medical student, and the lectures we were given were almost in the same amount of detail. The two talks that I enjoyed most were “How to Create a Visual System”, which explored sight, perception, and optical illusions, and a fascinating lecture on humans pushing themselves to physical extremes, such as by climbing Mount Everest.
