Debate Chamber Two-Day Course at UCL on Neurology, Psychiatry, and Pulmonology (2nd and 3rd August 2014)

In addition to interactively teaching us about these three areas, this course was really useful because it was presented by medical students. Therefore, we were able to ask plenty of questions about medicine and application to medical school to people who had only recently gone through the application process. I had a really fun time, and there was a good balance between theory and practical work: for example, we measured out peak flow readings and lung capacities. In addition, the psychiatry section was useful for providing material for my EPQ, which I planned to do on psychiatry, and I had a long discussion with a medical student who had a particular interest in the history of psychiatry.
